Having graduated High School early, I ran off with Bedouins and made my way through the Sinai desert, Egypt and Greece on my way to Art School.
After receiving my BFA from Rhode Island School of Design I was hired by R.O. Blechman to work at his animation studio, The Ink Tank, in New York City. I was introduced to so many talented artists and animators who visited from all over the globe.
In the evenings I started my own freelance illustration business, The David Goldin Studio, and began working for art directors and editors of magazines and newspapers. That led to the book publishing industry illustrating text books, science book series and children's books, some of which I both wrote and illustrated.
Having my own books published led to book signings at bookstores and book fairs.
Meet Me at the Art Museum… and the local bookshop!
I’ve spent years teaching after school programs and mentoring high school students bound for art school. In my free time I accepted invitations to be a guest artist for elementary school assemblies and museum presentations and demonstrations.
My artwork has been used to elucidate complex principles and ideas in many different branches of print and publication.
